Inmarsat 4F3 Frequency Plan Maintenance – AMENDED

We would like to advise you of the amendment to the forth­coming maintenance being carried out in AMER and AORW region. This is an essential planned satellite recon­fi­gu­ration to accom­modate new opera­tional requi­re­ments over the Inmarsat 4F3 coverage. During the maintenance period services in AMER and AORW will be not available for a period up to 60 minutes, where possible services will be recovered in the overlapping regions (APAC-POR-AORE-EMEA-IOR).

Single or multiple Outage & Duration Single outage of up to 60 minutes
Outage impact Terminals will lose lock and drop out of the network, and will attempt to re-acquire onto an overlapping region. If no overlapping region is available or the satellite is in blockage, the terminal will re-acquire into the network on the original region once it becomes available

Actions needed by user Re-start the terminal if it does not re-join the network after 15 minutes

  • Americas I-4 = Satelite responsible for the region of North- and Southamerica
  • APAC = Asia Pacific
  • BGAN = Broadband Global Area Network. Inmarsat service for BGAN devices
  • CDR = Call Detail Record
  • EMEA = Satellite responsible for the region of European Middle East Africa
  • FB or FBB = FleetBroadBand. Inmarsat service for FBB devices
  • GSPS = Global Satellite Phone Service. Inmarsat voice service for IsatPhone
  • IRIS = Remote monitoring and control system
  • SB or SBB = SwiftBroadBand. Inmarsat service for SBB devices
  • TBC = To be confirmed
  • UTC = Universal Time Coordinated
