UNPLANNED SERVICE OUTAGE Update #3: Inmarsat – I4 Prepay

The issue with affecting I4 prepay services is still ongoing. Inmarsat engineers are actively working to resolve this unplanned service outage. This is an active inves­ti­gation, more infor­mation will be provided as and when it is available from Inmarsat.

Impact to Customers Currently no Prepay actions can be taken against any I4 Prepay Services. Including, but not limited to, Balance Requests and Top Ups.
Further Infor­mation Inmarsat Engineers are currently inves­ti­gating the cause of the outage. Engineers believed they had resolved the issue however it seems the service is still failing. As soon as an update is available, further infor­mation will be provided

  • APAC = Asia Pacific
  • BGAN = Broadband Global Area Network. Inmarsat service for BGAN devices
  • CDR = Call Detail Record
  • EMEA = Satellite responsible for the region of European Middle East Africa
  • FB or FBB = FleetBroadBand. Inmarsat service for FBB devices
  • GSPS = Global Satellite Phone Service. Inmarsat voice service for IsatPhone
  • IRIS = Remote monitoring and control system
  • SB or SBB = SwiftBroadBand. Inmarsat service for SBB devices
