Inmarsat: Emergency Maintenance – I6F1 23/08/2023

We would like to inform you of the emergency maintenance on I6F1. As part Inmarsat’s customer service impro­ve­ments, Inmarsat engineers will perform a maintenance that will cause traffic inter­rup­tions for terminals in the IOE ocean region. During this period existing channels will not be available, and it will not be possible to allocate new traffic channels.

Services Affected: BGAN, FBB, SBB, GSPS – I6F1
Start of Maintenance period: 23 August 2023 – 08:30 UTC
End of Maintenance period: 23 August 2023 – 11:30 UTC
Single or Multiple Outage(s): Single outage of up to 120 minutes.
Outage Impact No traffic over IOE satellite during this period. Terminal should acquire into overlapping satellite.
Actions needed by user: None, new traffic alloca­tions can be made at the end of maintenance period

  • FB or FBB = FleetBroadBand. Inmarsat service for FBB devices
  • GSPS = Global Satellite Phone Service. Inmarsat voice service for IsatPhone
  • IRIS = Remote monitoring and control system
  • SB or SBB = SwiftBroadBand. Inmarsat service for SBB devices
