Service(s) Affected Inmarsat BGAN / FBB / GSPS (IsatPhone) services in the APAC region
Description The I4F2 space­craft, located at orbital slot 143.5E and serving the APAC region, has entered solar eclipse season on 16th August 2026 and will exit on 9th October 2026. During this period, available satellite power will be actively managed to guarantee and protect services in the best possible way. As a result, some services will not be available during the eclipse window.There will be a single outage daily of up to 90 minutes between 13:30 UTC — 15:00 UTC.During this period service is not available. In overlapping coverage areas, terminals may automat­i­cally switch to an alternate satellite, or users can manually repoint their antenna to maintain service continuity.
