The new Iridium service Certus 200 with data rates of 176 kbps (download/upload) is now available.
For maritime use there is the Thales VesseLINK 200, for land use the Thales MissionLINK 200. The antenna is the same for both and has become very small (12 cm diameter, 17 cm high) and weighs only 0.7 kg.
For maritime users, tariff plans are available with a free volume of 0 to 100 MB and a minimum contract period starting at just one month. For land-based use, rate plans from 20 to 200 MB with a minimum contract term starting at three months.
