The Iridium Extreme 9575 is an outdoor-ready satellite phone from Iridium with worldwide coverage.
In contrast to the sister model Iridium 9555, a GPS module is built in here. This means that the position data can be passed on as a text message — e.g. in the event of an emergency, there is no need to pass it verbally.
The Iridium Extreme 9575 has a programmable SOS button. This can be set to send the location coordinates as a notification to definable recipients and/or to initiate a call when triggered.
Also a connection to the GEOS emergency center International Emergency Response Coordination Center (IERCC) is possible.
